Over 10,000 appointments a year become available at each hospital due to other people cancelling. You can be offered these to reduce the amount of time you have to wait.
You can choose whether you want to accept each offer or keep your current time. You are under no obligation to switch and can always keep your original appointment.
We will text you when we have found an appointment that is suitable for you. We will only send, at most, one message per day. You can opt out at any time and messages are free to receive.
How do I use it?
- If you have been offered the service then you can reply with the word START to begin.
- Each day we will search for appointments that have just become available. If any are suitable for you then we will send you a text message with the options
- If you would like to change your appointment to one of the new times then reply with the correct letter.
If you would rather keep your old appointment time then you don't need to do anything
- If you would like to stop the notifications then you can reply with DISMISS at any time
I'm not sure if I will be able to make the new times and I don't want to lose my current appointment
We will only send you information about other available times and it is up to you whether you wish to change or not. If you can't make any of the new times then you don't need to do anything and your current appointment time will still be yours.
I've asked to change appointment when do I get confirmation it has happened?
Each hospital has different systems in place for updating the records. Most hospitals reply within 2-3 hours but it can take up to 24 hours.
I've signed up but I'm not receiving many (or any) daily messages. Why is this?
We will only let you know about appointments that the hospital have said are suitable for you. If you are on a clinic with high demand then it may be difficult to find alternative times that are available. Our system will continue to search for you every hour so that you will be notified as soon as space is available
